• image: Changes the image displayed in the top-right corner. Not recommended when used in the Signpost.
• seriestitle: A succinct title of the series.
• title1...title20: Up to 20 article titles (individual parameters).
• date1...title20: Up to 20 article dates (individual parameters).
• breakpoint: Number of articles to hide in a drop-down menu. Implemented in February 2015 to fix problems with series length creep affecting the formatting of older articles included in the series. Generally a breakpoint leaving five open stories and hiding the rest below is preferred in the case of large series.
• toggle_title: Because of the way dropdown is implemented in the menu there has to be some unique, unspaced string in this parameter in order for this template to open individually on pages which have two or more series templates. If this parameter is not defined in such situations templates will both open when one is toggled. An example of a legal toggle_title: gendercap. An example of an illegal one: gender gap, or even gender gap.
• custom_breakpoint: You can configure a breakpoint on one instance of a series that overrides the master breakpoint. Insert custom_breakpoint={{{custom_breakpoint|}}} in the master template, and then include |breakpoint=N in your particular template, where N is replaced by the breakpoint number. Note that though possible this is generally not recommended (ResMar is currently looking into making the series template entirely collapsible as part of a larger series implementation overhaul).

In the past series templates were hosted directly in the Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/Templates domain, however as a result this domain has now become overcrowded with various deprecated and non-functional templates, making the useful ones harder to see in listings. New series should instead be hosted from Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/Templates/Series. A list of such series follows:
