@Michael Bednarek: Wasn't able to do much writing this week, but I wouldn't worry too much: The Verdi restorations continue, so there will be many more chances to mention him and this project. =)

A bit of a curiosity- the original slogan (as graffiti) appears to have been "W V.E.R.D.I", according to the article W Verdi in "Da Wikipedia, l'enciclopedia libera". There's a photo of what appears to be an original example elsewhere, where the W is two conjoined Vs. Xanthomelanoussprog (talk) 05:51, 14 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
